Fr.
Leo Campbell, C.S.B.
Associate PastorLeo
Charles Campbell, C.S.B. was born in 1939 and grew up in the small coal mining
town of Dominion, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. His love for his native Cape Breton,
Celtic music, family and friends was surpassed only by his love for the Basilian
community and the teaching apostolate he was invited to share. After
nine years of preparation, Fr. Campbell was ordained in 1974 and spent the next
ten years teaching High School in Windsor, Calgary and Sault Ste. Marie. He then
became principal of St. Mary's College School and after four years was asked to
serve as principal of St. Michael's College School, Toronto for an additional
four years. A partial sabbatical was followed by two years of Campus Ministry
at St. Thomas More College, Saskatoon. From September 1995 to 1997, Fr. Campbell
served as Associate Pastor at Holy Rosary Parish. Fr.
Leo moved from Holy Rosary Church to St. Michael's College School three years
ago in order to fulfill the remaining pension requirements enabling him to retire
after providing many years of service in academic education. Fr. Campbell returned
to Holy Rosary Parish in August 2001 as Associate Pastor where he serves with
great joy. |
