Dear Parishioner:

It has been a good summer – God has blessed us with wonderful weather; many people were able to get away out of the city; those who were here experienced some very fine liturgies; we have several new parishioners in our midst; and the renovations to our church have begun.

As we begin a 'new church year' we draw that much closer to the second millennium. As a faith community we are invited to prepare spiritually for this year of special Jubilee. The biblical vision of Jubilee inspires us in its vision of a new beginning. Over the next few months you will be seeing and hearing more about this "biblical vision of Jubilee".

Before we all get busy and caught up in various activities, I wish to take this opportunity to highlight some of the important upcoming events planned in our parish. Please make note of these and plan to participate.

Wednesday, October 7 is Feast of the Holy Rosary. We will use this occasion to thank God for the many blessings and gifts we have received. Parish Appreciation Night will begin with a Mass in the church at 7 p.m. followed by a reception in the parish Hall.

Sunday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. we hold our Fall Information Fair in the parish Hall. This is a chance for all our parishioners to learn about the many groups and activities in our parish.

Saturday, December 19 – Te Deum Orchestra and Singers who are celebrating their 30th Anniversary Season will give a gala Advent and Christmas concert in our newly renovated church. This will be our public celebration of "Rejuvenating Holy Rosary" and a chance to show off our beautiful church to family, friends, and neighbours. Don't miss out on this spectacular event!

Peace, Joy, Love,

Rev. Paul McGill, C.S.B.
